Doppler Ultrasound in Hepatobiliary Imaging
Doppler Ultrasound in Hepatobiliary Imaging
· Portal Vein: Normally hepatopetal (toward the liver), with a monophasic waveform.
· Hepatic Artery: Low-resistance waveform; increased resistance may suggest cirrhosis.
· Hepatic Veins: Normally triphasic; monophasic flow suggests liver congestion.
· Biliary Tree Flow: Color Doppler helps differentiate bile duct dilatation from blood vessels.
